Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring and Sleep Quality in Hypertensive Men and Women

Objectives: This study aims to provide major insight in 24-h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), which will describe the 24 h (Circadian rhythm) (BP) profile by measuring its impact on sleep quality. Materials and Methods: For study, 25 men women were recruited. Sleep quality was assessed Pittsburgh Index. Using wrist actigraphy, sleep-quality during seven working non-ABPM days (starting point) three following ABPM days. Results: During day, average AMP 139.2 10.9/83.4 8.6 mm Hg, while at night, it 118.9 12.9/68.5 9.7 Hg. There 40 dipper 10 non-dipper, respectively, standard of a systolic BP dip <10%. Time had no bearing total time or efficiency between days, indicating that has negative effects Conclusion: Both male female having untreated hypertension found have disrupted Importantly, is now evident for either dippers non-dippers.
